So I guess as an Entertainment Arts student at Art Center I haven't been posting much of my entertainment stuff. Well heres some character designs I did this past term...MAYAN HE-MAN! I loved He-Man as a little kid, its pretty much one of the first things I remember drawing. So basically I wanted to put the He-Man side Mayans and Skeletor's crew conquistadors. I did some backgrounds and keyscene stuff for it too which I'll post up later. By the power of Grayskull, I HAVE THE POWERRRRR!

Fun with color

Here are some drawings I did in my sketchbook for Jeff Smith's Illustrative Storytelling class this past term. Just took the line drawings into photoshop and played around with shapes and colors.

Berties in Los Angeles

Here's my term assignment for matte painting class. It's all photo compositing with tweaking in photoshop. Had fun with this one since I got to use my Ashley Wood Bertie figure ( Who said collecting cool shit won't do anything for you?

Illustrative Storyteling - UPDATE

Here's some work from a Jeff Smith's Illustrative Storytelling class. The first three were images created after listening to short stories (The Hollowmen, The 5:48, and The Swimmer) and the last two are in class model drawings that were later colored in PS.

UPDATE - I worked on the Hollowmen and the 548 images a bit more, slight changes but I think they make a more finished image.

sit still long enough and i'll draw you...

drawn in my plain jane white paper sketchbook and toyed around with in PS.

New Stuff

Posting a few things I did over term, although I'm not quite happy with the resolution I'm getting on Blogspot.

One more for now...

Here's something I did for a class. The assignment was to do an abandoned hotel in 1800's London in the style of the great Evind Earle.

A fixed up oldie...

I changed this one up a bit...added London on the bottom, and changed up the proportions of the elements in the painting...

I had to redesign the look for the movie Stardust for a class. I placed it in Tokugawa period Japan so I have an excuse to draw ninjas and samurais. Four main characters and four key scenes. My first real full on effort in al this entertainment stuff.
